The teams

How this tournament works

1. 

   You play as a team

   You and your partner sign up together and play every match together. Twelve teams take part.

2. 

   Two groups of six

   The organiser splits the teams into two groups. Your team plays each of the other five teams in its group once.

3. 

   The top four go through

   Each group is ranked on games won minus games lost, then on games won. The top four teams in each group reach the quarter-finals: first in A plays fourth in B, second in B plays third in A, first in B plays fourth in A, and second in A plays third in B.

4. 

   Quarter-finals, semi-finals, final

   The winners of quarter-finals 1 and 2 meet in one semi-final, the winners of 3 and 4 in the other. The two semi-final winners play the final. The winner and the runner-up both take prize money.

5. 

   Every match is first to 6

   Group matches, the quarter-finals, the semi-finals and the final are all first to 6 games, with a tie-break at 5–5.
