The teams

How this tournament works

1. 

   You play as a team

   You and your partner sign up together and play every match together. 16 teams take part.

2. 

   Four groups of four

   The teams are split into four groups of four. Your team plays each of the other three teams in its group once.

3. 

   Group winners go through

   Each group is ranked on games won minus games lost, then on games won. Only the winner of each group reaches the semi-finals: A plays D, B plays C.

4. 

   Semi-finals, then the final

   The two semi-final winners play the final. The winner takes the prize money.

5. 

   First to 5, then 6, then 8

   Group matches are first to 5 games, with a tie-break at 4–4. The semi-finals are first to 6, with a tie-break at 5–5. The final is first to 8, with a tie-break at 7–7.
